CLOSED/Ongoing PLAYTEST II - far above the world

Whatever your reasons for opening the door; it's too late to change your mind. One footstep in was all it took and you've arrived elsewhere. Your world shutting behind you in the sound of a click. Turning around reveals that door is gone.
Vanished.
The white, blue light on the other side of the door was near blinding. But the warmth from the light wasn’t enough to burn or be uncomfortable. Strangely, the weather seemed perfectly fine, when it was possible for eyes to adjust to the new sky.
And the sky was everywhere. Above, around, and below you. The door, that door, a mystery to draw you in. No apparent answers were found, unless you could count the soft steps of clouds under your feet.
Not heaven though, since you were dropping at an alarming rate. Falling?
Not quite that either.
Just descending.
But the ground was much farther away than the people around you were. A green valley, surrounded by forests and mountains, that was your eventual destination. The others falling with you, were probably looking as confused too. Floating down to the ground from points in the sky. A good thing that it hadn’t been a completely clear morning in Averde.
Ready to greet you, with feet planted firmly on the earth, there were two late adolescent looking people, waiting. One boy and one girl. Their expressions welcoming, but with a hint of worry.
...as people continue to walk down from the clouds, two large birds begin to take notice of this opportune snack time.

Chicken Brent Hatches
It paused, ducking back out of view.
After a beat, it rose again, slowly revealing great white eyes that goggled wildly on either side of an exaggerated beak as the head peered this way and that.
Abruptly, it rose again, revealing a tanned face within the beak, eyes squinting, checking out the landscape with great suspicion. Daisies aside, it looked all good. Brent crawled up the last few crumbling steps and promptly fell on his face, his Chicken suit squeaked like a giant dog toy.
"LAND."
He kissed it.

"Sir Brent. We have more company."
no subject
"Well met." He offers a hand to the man in the chicken suit. To help him up from the ground.

He then bows slowly and offers a wing to the lovely lady following him. "Milady?"
no subject
To Brent.
"Do you see her?"
The squirrel looks up into the air, where there are other's falling in from the sky.
From Afar
But seriously. Was that worldwalker wearing a chicken suit?
Addy giggled. Wyatt was already over there, greeting him, so she knew the Chicken Man would be in great hands. But she couldn't really help but wonder -- did everyone in his world dress that way?

But Chicken Brent was memorable, even if they had not had a moment to personally talk. Erik watches him peck at the dirt, skeptical of making his presence known. But then.
"I daresay, if you'd missed, you'd have deserved to drown."
no subject
He offers a cheerful wave and starts jogging in place, looking around. "Oh, hey, it's you! How'd you beat us out here?"
